Coynamite Bullets (coyote dynamite) ~ .224" - 70 grain Rebated Boat-tail soft point bullets for 223 Rem 5.56 mm Nato. I call these Coynamite bullets for coyote dynamite because they explode like dynamite on coyotes. I hunt fur for the money and have adopted these as my favorite coyote hunting bullets. With solid body hits they do not exit, leaving only a 22 caliber hole in the hide. With quality raw furs bringing nearly $100.00, minimal damage to the pelt is important. At 70 grains weight they deliver the added punch to anchor the toughest old dogs. I load these for the 223 with 1-9" twist and they easily shoot sub MOA. Loaded to 2750 fps using a mil dot scope zeroed at 100 yards the drop numbers are easy to remember. 100 = zero, 200 = 1 mil, 300 = 2 mil, 400 = 3 mil and 500 = 4.25 mil. I have made plenty of hits to 400 yards with the 3 mil hold but with the 223 have not attempted longer shots. I am in the process of building a 22/250 with 1 in 9" twist to hopefully stretch the range a bit longer. I even used this bullet in a 223 Savage rifle to harvest my elk this year. The range finder said it was 388 yards and at that range one of these golden pills to the 4x5 bull's coconut tipped him over neatly.
